Certificate III Qualified Educator

The opportunity
We're looking for an Assistant Educator to join our small early learning centre in Dundas. You'll be working alongside experienced educators, supporting children's daily routines, play-based learning, and building strong, respectful relationships.

Qualifications and experience
- Completed Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Valid right to work in Australia
- Experience working with children aged 0–5 years
- Understanding of the EYLF and NQS
- Current Working With Children Check
- First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis, or willingness to obtain
- Completion of National Child Protection Training
- Strong communication, teamwork and supervision skills
- Availability to work Monday to Friday
Key responsibilities
- Support the implementation of high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5 years, aligned with the EYLF and NQF
- Assist with children's daily routines, including meals, rest, hygiene, transitions and overall wellbeing
- Build respectful, responsive and reciprocal relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Plan and support play-based learning experiences that promote children's holistic development across all learning domains
- Use intentional teaching and scaffolding strategies to extend children's learning, thinking and engagement
- Encourage children's independence, agency, communication, creativity and problem-solving skills
- Maintain active supervision and uphold children's health, safety and wellbeing at all times in line with regulatory requirements
- Contribute to observations, documentation and reflective practice, supporting ongoing program planning and continuous improvement
- Maintain a clean, safe, organised and engaging learning environment, recognising the environment as the third teacher
- Work collaboratively with the team and consistently follow centre policies, procedures, and child safe practices in accordance with the NQS

Diploma Qualified Preschool Educator
Little Jungle Early Learning Centre is looking for a warm, reliable and experienced Preschool Educator to join our team.
The opportunity
We are a 53-place early learning centre in Dundas. Our centre has a strong focus on children's wellbeing, school readiness, play-based learning and building genuine relationships with children and families.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with preschool-aged children and can confidently deliver a strong preschool program. This role would suit an educator who is organised, calm, hands-on, and confident in leading learning experiences, routines and daily transitions.
In this role, you will
- Plan, implement and evaluate learning experiences for preschool children
- Deliver a meaningful school readiness program
- Support children's learning through play-based and intentional teaching
- Maintain strong room routines and smooth transitions
- Set up engaging indoor and outdoor learning spaces
- Complete observations, programming and reflections using OWNA
- Build positive relationships with children, families and the team
- Support children with additional needs in a calm and inclusive way
- Keep the room safe, clean, organised and welcoming
- Follow service policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
About you
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the preschool program, while still working well as part of a close-knit team.
To be suitable for this role, you must hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification or higher. You must also have a minimum of 5 years' experience in early childhood education, with strong experience working with preschool-aged children.
You will need to have
- A good understanding of the EYLF, NQS and NQF
- Experience planning and delivering a preschool or school readiness program
- Strong documentation, observation and programming skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence in guiding children's behaviour calmly and respectfully
- Good computer skills, including experience using OWNA
- Full working rights in Australia
- Flexibility to work shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm
Required certificates
Applicants must hold, or be willing to maintain, the required early childhood education and care certificates, including:
- Valid Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
- Child protection and child safety training
- Food handling certificate
- Any other relevant industry-required certificates
