Nourishing little bodies at our Dundas childcare centre
Not a pause in the day, part of it
At Little Jungle, mealtimes are not a pause in the day. They are part of it. Questions about allergies, menus or what is included are covered in our FAQ.
Every meal we serve is thoughtfully prepared, nutritionally balanced, and shared in a warm, unhurried environment where children feel safe, supported, and genuinely nourished.

Serving, spilling, trying again
Children serve themselves as soon as they are able. It is slower and messier than plating up for them, and it is how a child learns portion, preference and the confidence to say when they have had enough.
Educators sit and eat with the children rather than supervising from the side, which is the single biggest influence on how a mealtime feels.
A standard we cook to
Little Jungle is a Munch & Move approved centre, a NSW Health initiative that sets clear standards for nutrition and physical activity in early childhood settings aged 0–6.
It is not a logo we display. It is a standard we cook to every single day.
Educators at the table, not just in the room
Our educators sit alongside children at mealtimes, eat with them, and make the table a place of conversation, connection, and calm. This models healthy eating behaviours and builds a positive relationship with food from the earliest years.
Independence at the table
Guided by a familiar face.
Exploring new foods
Without pressure or expectation.
Building confidence
In appetite and healthy choices.
