“Is it too early to be asking about this?”
Parents ask us that all the time, sometimes holding a six week old, sometimes still pregnant.
It is never too early, and the families who end up with exactly the days they wanted are almost always the ones who asked first.
A waitlist is not a queue. It is a room, on specific days, from a specific month.
Why this matters more than most families realise
A centre does not have one list. It has availability that moves by room and by day.
Mondays and Fridays fill differently to midweek. Under-twos places move more slowly, because children stay in that room for two years. And January is the busiest moment of the year, when one cohort moves up and another leaves for school.
So “do you have a spot” is really three questions at once. Which room, which days, and from when.

If your dates are fixed
Work backwards, and give yourself about three months. Returning to work in February means touring in November or December, while there is still room to move.
If your dates are flexible, you have more options again. Families who can start a month earlier, or take one different day, often get in sooner.
The Little Jungle difference
We would rather you saw the room before you joined any list.
No waitlist fee. We do not charge to hold your place, so getting on the list early costs you nothing but the conversation.
We tell you what is actually available. Which room, which days, and from when.
You meet the educators who would have your child. They are the ones who can tell you how the day runs.
We stay in touch. When a place opens in your room on your days, you hear about it early.
You cannot tell from a website whether a room is calm at ten in the morning, or how an educator speaks to a child when nobody is watching. That part only shows up in person.
Ten minutes in the room tells you more than an hour of reading.
Tours run Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and take about half an hour. Book a tour or call us on 1300 192 598.
